I feel nothing left inside
I see no place in which to hide
With the ring I be wed
I wish to god these words I said
Id give my life for one more time
To sit and talk is that a crime?
I never thought I rely cared
Now I have not a prayer
Shes never going to come back
I might as well hit the sack
I waited by phone night and day
I wasted my younger years away
I wish I could at least just say
I kept the promise that I made
I promised to stay by your side
Even to the day you died
I missed the time when you where ill
Maybe I could have been your pill
Perhaps it was me who should be dead
At least thats what your husband said
I cant say hes wrong or right
I have nothing left with to fight
I dream of you night and day
I gladly waste my years away
I guess that I can say it now
Ill be with you again somehow
I know not when or how I may
I know only theres hell to pay
I miss you with all my might
Ill be with you in gods good light
