I give up on love

Contributed by trhpeanut on Sunday, 8th February 2004 @ 02:05:30 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

For years i craved to taste true Love.
For years i have waited for my loves first, true kiss.
Although im not to blame,
pretending my love's worth waiting for.
resltless days,
slepless nights.
tears and pain, is all i gained.
But, yet after all the grief
time after time saying "never again"
still i continued to play my very own naive game
actually believing love existed.
Love could exist.
Love would exist.
But, love ceases to exist
that's the point i missed.
So, i sigh and, wave a final good-bye.
I give up on you, love.
I give up.
I give up, on
Love.

Oh what a sad poem! I really felt like crying. Your words are really shattering. I loved this poem because I can relate to it. I hope you'll find someone that will make you believe in love again

Oh wow, this is such an awesome one.... I feel your pain! For a long time I've been chasing and not catching, looking and not finding, waiting and not recieving...... I know exactly how you feel. But I don't think I've completely given up. Not yet atleast. For now, I'm done looking for love. But who knows? Maybe it'll find me, find you, find all of us.... who knows?
You did a wonderful job in writing this. Keep it going =)

God bless,
Ellen

They say love finds you when you least expect it. I liked this poem alot, thought it was great to read. I think this is the first one I have read by you and it was fantastic! Kie
