Mark my word

Contributed by ZooYork_Chick on Monday, 9th February 2004 @ 03:27:50 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

id like to say im fine now
id like to look you in the face
i hate what you have done to me
its what i cant replace

theres nothing left to do now
im left without a choice
i need to cope please tell me how
wheres that help
wheres that voice

the past year ive sat here crying
and ended up asleep
thats how i get to bed at night
thats how i get my peace

i cant get rid of what you did
i remember every last bit
so how do you get to sleep at night
just how do you manage it?

Writing is part of the healing process. Whatever it is that you've gone through, I hope that writting this has made you feel better. Very simplistic wording, but effective nonetheless and straightforward...I enjoyed reading it. Piece of advice though, you might want to check your punctuation next time.

Your poem was filled with emotion. Writing can be a great way to vent and I think you are doing great! Kie
