Is it too much to ask
For a day of sunshine in which to bask?
Do I expect too much
In wanting a sweet gentle touch
Am I wrong
Not wanting to be the one who is always strong
Would a helping hand
Be too much of a demand
Even if it is just a simple chore
Sometimes I wonder what Im here for
To cook your meals
To know what everyone thinks and how everyone feels
But have you forgotten something
Am I entitled to any of the happiness that life can bring
If I ask too much of you
Or if with you I am destined to be blue
Let me go set me free
Let me find some of the happiness meant for me
