selfstruggles

Her blue eyes like the sea are now clouded Grey with a salty mist like the ocean And the steady rain outside her window She lies on the rumpled pillowcase resonating quiet sobs Muffled by her teddy bear, faded and bald staring back at Her Such a childhood comfort for such grown-up fears Such a child thrust into the reality of youth Caught in the middle, not ready to be an adult but not able To be a child She is merely drifting in between Caught in the winds of not quite there and almost gone
