Black robe, Sometimes Dancing with the wind On a flowerbed On top of a hill, Dancing with nature. Sometimes a solemn drape Hiding a window, Concealing the light. This cloak of faith, This blanket, This bright, Valiant armor, Covering man, Protecting him From the world. A flag, a beacon, A dancer Loose and free, This ever-changing shape, Symbol of humility, A calling to arms, to prayer. Pure black, bright black, Flapping dancing wildly In the wind, Draped around a pillar Of humility, love, And light.

A splendid, unsentimental treatment of the complexities of the life of a priest.
Too often "Religious Poetry" is both bad poetry AND bad religion. You have done well...
