Red, red, red
Is all I see
You have left
Your mark on me
What is it
That turns you
Do you enjoy
Misery?
Scornful and bitter
You will always be
Without any remorse
You inflict pain so casually
Your pessimistic ways
Will be your end of days
Wake up from the storm
That is raging in your heart
I care so much for you
But that is all that I can do
For you
You push everyone away
You dont know love
Hatred burns inside of you
Can you recall
Any bliss
Your life is so cumbersome
You walk through it numb
You miss so much
Because you do not reach out and touch
The everlasting beauty
Life has to offer so much
Its a treasure really
Full of pleasure
I cannot deny
There were times I had
The pain and displeasure
Of lifes tortures
But I woke up
And now I see
In all clarity
That life is a gift
Not a hoax
So, this is my wish
From me to you
To embrace life head on
To be courageous and strong
To know fulfillment
And not resentment
To feel love soaking your being
And to give it freely
Not push aside others
That come with open arms
I pray that one day you will
Rise above
I have seen into your soul
There is still hope
Your eyes reflect life
Of love and tenderness
That was the hold
You had on me
But I could not be
Your outlet for pain anymore
You never opened the door
To your heart
Begging for a new start
After the scarlet colors fade
You'll wake from your facade

| isn't it disheartening how we can have one, maybe even more, in our life that has to make us so angry and at the same time so infatuated? I have had more then my share of ppl in my life that match this description..not all were lovers..they took on many forms...friends,family, acquaintances...it's just sad really |

I could not rave enough about this poem. I know quite a few poeple like this, who just don't understand how to reach out and grasp life before letting it slip through their hands!

it can be frustrating sometimes when no matter how we try to help they continue to shut us out. This was such a good write.
