I Love You More

Contributed by Dragons_Of_Rose on Saturday, 7th September 2002 @ 06:46:45 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I love you more than the eternal beating of my own heart
The very breath captured in the rising of my lungs
The scope of existence shown bright within my eyes
More than love has been known to man since life begun.

I love you more than the golden suns rays of warmth
The nights vast darkness silhouetted by the moon
The gentle caress of a summers breeze across my cheek
More than the comfort of your arms wrapped tightly like a cocoon.

I love you more than Gods richly created heaven
The ever glowing flow of hopes eternal light
The endless array of mans own created miracles
More than the sullen worth of my own life.

I love you more than a prairies amber waves of grain
The flags stripped signal of joy and pride
The mountains of gold and flooded fortune
More than the freedom fought for by brave souls who died.

I love you more than a flames silent lullaby
The dampness of a chilled rain bringing life from death
The warmth of the wind carrying miles of blessings
More than the taste of your kiss exhaled on my breath.

I love you more than then gentleness of your touch
The rapid growing of our loves nurtured seed
The long nights held within each others embrace
I simply love you, more than you love me.
