Golden streaks across the sky
Jewelled raindrops from my eye
If I told you that I cry
Would you hold me till they dry
If I could love like I've never been hurt
I'd have to be someone I'm not
Because I'm someone who's been hurt by love
It's all a lesson I've been taught
If I could hold back all my love for you
What's the point in you staying here?
I would have to be untrue to myself
I'm one person who can't not feel
This life I live is full of shades of gray
Ghosts haunt the corners of my room
They cry but they fade more and more each day
I will not give in to the gloom
Mountains reaching to the sky
Blue forever in my eyes
Someday you will make me cry
Kiss my tears until they're dry
The sun never shone till you were my light
Now there's always hope in darkness
There's still the feeling I was here before
But each moment with you I'm blessed
I could cry if you would say forever
My future's never looked so bright
I'll be happy as long as I have you
I'll never not put up a fight
I see myself crying happy tears
Holding on and not letting go
I'm lucky to have moments like these
You're the one truth I'll always know
Golden streaks across the sky
Reach forever in my eyes
If you see me when I cry
Kiss my tears until they're dry
Jewelled raindrops from my eye
Somehow gather in the sky
Together we both will cry
Just hold me till my tears dry

awwwwwwww............ Dee, your the best. i love you, always and forever! your poetry is always so amazing. every poem is as beautiful as a crisp raindrop on a falling leaf. whoa.. i got a lil metaphor goin on here..... creepy... well, anyways, amazing poem.
