the comic shows
are but a quick fix,
a 125 shot of happiness
quick to go, and light in effect.
the thought of loneliness
is all that lingers.
never to love
or to hate
to be stuck, alone.
dead affection
for someone that doesnt know i care
we play the stupid games.
who do you like
dont lie
i know you like someone...
this game is endless
and breathless
i would stop if i wasnt scared.
thoughts ring out
a supersonic silence looping in my ears:
TELL HER HOW YOU FEEL
BUT, THEN AGAIN
WHY BOTHER, SHES TOO MUCH
SHE WONT FEEL THE SAME
WHY WOULD SHE LOVE ME
EVEN IF SHE DID IT WOULD BE OUT OF PITTY.
make it stop.
it's too loud, filling my ears
with the harsh reminder of the burden i carry
