THE CHILD WITHIN

Contributed by lovingangel4u on Sunday, 15th February 2004 @ 12:43:54 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

How can they been so cruel, tormenting the young
Too defenceless to fight back talk back hit back GET BACK!

How we run how we try to hide
Run away from the hurt hold on to some pride
Weve been put down run over felt like we died
No reasons to live just want to hide.

We grow with the scars on the child within
Seeing where in this world wed fit in
Trying not to think where the frustration and hurt is coming from
Lets just get on with it! Lets just be strong!

But in our silent times we hear that child
Still afraid and crying then we feel
That frustration and hurt and where its coming from.
Why doesnt it just leave us alone, go away we dont need to know!

Alone is the child within still wanting love
or just a warm protective hug.
Like a child pulling on a mothers skirt
So does our child within remind us of its hurt.

Just love it and hug it with all that you are
Give it understanding caring and feel like a star.
Give it all that you can be
Because the child within is you and me.
