The Secrets Fall

Come here hon,
We need to talk.
Called out of class,
I walked along behind you.
Not a clue of what was happening,
Not aware of the imminent terror approaching.
You turned to face me,
Grabbed an arm,
Pulled it up,
Uncovered the pain,
Snatch the other arm,
Be disappointed,
Nothing there.
As you tap the scars you speak,
this is what I was looking for.
I tremble and shiver,
Nodding my head at every word,
Terrified now,
some friends of yours are very worried,
so am I.
you talk for an eternity it seems,
I cant hear you anymore.
Its all I can do to remain standing.
Fear has consumed me,
Im held tightly in its grasp.
Irrational thoughts fly in a pounding head,
Nothing makes sense,
Nothing at all.
Who would do this to me?
Who would tell my secrets?
Why would they want to bring this pain,
This fear upon me?
Are you sure youre ok?
you ask again.
I nod my head,
Just nod and grin.
when was the last time?
you ask another question.
Burying my heart deeper.
I lie.
Again.
Barely able to for the words I mumble,
4 months
your friends say there are some more recent.
I look into your eyes,
Wondering who has betrayed me,
Wishing to see them,
Wishing for them to be with me,
If they cared they wouldnt have done this.
no is all I can say,
I look quickly away,
Not willing to look into those eyes,
Those caring eyes anymore.
God, save me.
I cant do this.
Cant deal with having my life ripped away,
Please dont let my secrets all fall,
I cant live without these lies piled up so tall,
Make it stop,
Make them say,
its just a bad dream,
wake up, its a new day.
But no,
This isnt a nightmare,
As much as I may wish.
This is my reality now,
What a horrifying twist.
