people always look at me
then they look away
so many eyes upon me
but none ever stay
the pain these eyes
cause to me
will now be
a part of my history
i locked my pains
deep inside
beneath a new
stare proof hide
but to hide a broken heart
far beneath the skin
makes it feel impossible
to ever be whole again

| i feel your poem too strongly (that's a good thing)! i can really relate to pain and broken hearts and hiding it all as if nothing's wrong. well, what i mean to say is, very good poem! |
