When i close my eyes, you will always be there

Contributed by saddarkgirlreingsthenight on Tuesday, 17th February 2004 @ 08:00:02 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

When i close my eyes i see,
the worst and the best part of me.

The worst seems to show, though i try to keep it hidden.
The best seems like a beautiful horse, long ago ridden.

The blackness around my heart rings true in my head.
The pain, suffering, and losses seem like lead.

So i try to block out the darkness, the worst in me.
But the fight is so hard, so i use friendship as the key.

So reach out to your friends for they will always be there.
They will help you, and guide you, and always care.

I have wondered from the path to the dark ways, wondering lost and challenging every day.
But you have always been there to pick me up when i fall.
You've waited by the phone everynight for my call.
To make sure i haven't done anything wrong, and to check and comfort me, just like in the songs.

So i just want to thank you for being there for me. Through the good times and the bad times, you've seen me through.
To help me and guide me, and lead me through.

I just want to let you know that i will always be there for you. So if you ever need me, call me cuz i luv u.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
