If You Loved Me

Contributed by bridie on Wednesday, 18th February 2004 @ 06:52:25 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

If you loved me like I love you

Do I think itd be the same?

If one day you decided I could be yours

Could I just get over this pain?

If you saw in my eyes

How Ive always felt for you

Could you look me straight back?

And think, I love you too.

But all you see is tears

You cant see my eyes as pretty

When you look at me standing here

Theres no love but rather pity.

Would you miss me if I were gone?

Id like to think so, but probably not

If you were to never see me again

Would I be a memory gone, forgot.

Awww, what a lovely poem, I take it this was to a very special friend, I'm sure you mean more to him than you realise, don't give up hope.

I have often felt this way about one particular person. Imagine my surprise when I found out he loved me aswell... even if it didn't last.

What I'm trying to get at here, but not doing a ver good job of, is that no matter what you think, there is someone out there for you. If this guy can't see how special you are, and how much oyu care for him, then maybe he isn't that special someone. However, maybe he is just too scared to show his emotions. Maybe he really does care about you.

Don't keep it to yourself, let him know how you feel. At least if he doesn't feel the same way, you still know where you stand with him.
