Know Yourself

Contributed by Ice on Thursday, 19th February 2004 @ 02:39:41 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

As a single paper with two undistinguished sides
Collide in the hollow of black ink
So you are undeserved of any forgiveness
No pencil can procure your predicament

Follow on two after one
Knowing the depth that one shall decry
Climbing the steep mountains of unknowing trust
Never to presume in sanity

A man as once sought indifferent
Undenying the lies beneath the hollow cliff
Shall die in the rotten poultry of selfishness
Alone

Distinguish the sides of ones heart
Knowing what broods beneath the pretence
Deny the lies and the unforgivable hints that may procure
As one shall live forever in everlasting love

Know yourself as others know not
No pretence may endear on unselfish deeds
Sought not before the ones that love
Kneel not before those who are untruthful

Prosecute yourself before the one
Stand beside your own reflection
No mercy for the pressure applied on wounds
Only then you know yourself . . .
