Quipsters Agony

In the court a jester laments his fate. Sore ridiculed; he sows the seeds of smiles in the garden of happiness. A fools' paradise blossoms in ignorant bliss, and yet it is lighthearted mockery that he reaps, from his own tattered dreams that shatter in the fallen thunder. Prides' mare galloping into sunken horizons. He swallows hard; his eyes are small sorrow filled orbs of far away worlds. Mourning drops of dew collect blurring his vision from their cruel taunts, and as the wall of water collapses brick by brick, the jester realizes his only purpose is to entertain others. He is a slave of laughters' pity, shackled to the brunt of the joke. The jester is the jest and nothing besides.
