I stand Silent and still In a storm of white Listening to the sound Of each flake hitting the earth The sound becomes a song A lullaby for the winter Singing the day into night And the sad into happy However this song Is only for my ears tonight Telling me of comfort not yet felt Lessons not yet learned
I concentrate On a single note A single snowflake I watch it's decent Into the silent melody The snow song moves through me And the coldness of the night air disappears Along with the world All that remains-- Snow and myself Until lights appear And my trance breaks its time to go inside The song has ended

| This is entrancing. I felt the stillness you evoked through these words, and saw the beauty of the picture you painted with them. A really lovely poem. |

| It was very well-written and a awesome poem. There was just one word that didn't fit, "hitting." |
