A Loss of Memory for the moment

Contributed by ThePunkPoet on Friday, 20th February 2004 @ 03:58:47 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

What once was lost is what Ive found, smiles now replace my frowns. A love I lost almost brought me my end, Depression seemed all I had, everything in life was wrong. Then you came along.

Many tears were shed as thoughts of you filled my head. Looking into your eyes I see myself not as the world sees me but as you see mea scared young child in a teenagers world.

Never before had I felt such love. Your eyes show me the way I am, no longer scared to hold your hand. Your hair reminding me theres good left in the world and that gentle is the way to be.

Vines like us do entwine. Not for height or strength but protection, warmth, and love for one another. Our fingers intertwined like those vines. My way of showing I love you.

And when finally our lips embrace time will halt and be compressed into that one moment. Time will no longer exist for us until what seems like eons later our lips do break and with that kiss a part of me youll take.

And till we meet again in my heart youll be my friend and time will weep with sorrow. As Im heading home now my heart does feel dead as I stare out the window with you in my head

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
