Oh vivacious day, why have you forsaken me in such a way? Why can't I surrender my soul to a state of nirvana? Am I so easily deceived by the many masks people wear? Take these tears and save them for a rainy day. Stitch up my broken heart and take my bruises away.
Oh dreaded hours of my day, will today be better than yesterday? Will I linger in this darkness that surrounds me sending cold chills down my back? Am I just a fly on the wall subjected to the madness of the entire human race? I stand enduring this rage buried deep within me. I feel my life is cumbersome and this torments me everyday.
Oh haunting past, which I regret and hope to soon forget, Taunt me no longer for I am naked and easily vulnerable I do not wish to be exposed to the filth of man once again, But I am weak, isolated and petrified Though I long to live in a world of enchantment, I have no strength for tomorrow.
Oh dreary day, take these many scars away Mend my torn and battered physique, So that light may shine upon me once again. Love will open its arms wide and reach for me, and I will run to them as an eight year old girl at play.
Oh divine spirit, why do you punish me in such a way? Why must I spend every day in solitude and incarceration? I ask you this: What great embarassment have I bestowed upon thy name? I will resign my eternal so I may walk amongst you as an equal rather than a foe Wash away my sins and make me whole again so I may live in a state of everlasting bliss
