The Forgotten: Escaping

Contributed by spiffyphil on Friday, 20th February 2004 @ 06:29:01 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

We are known as the forgotten,
Wandering outer space.
Living one day at a time,
Trying to find our place.
We've taken every wrong turn,
and gone through hell.
We are battered children,
with fair story to tell.

Pinned by sin - release.
Forgotten bring the peace.
It's your last beating, your last meeting - with pain.
Come join us now - you're not alone - we entertain.

How much love was lost?
We ask in heartfelt journey.
Broken homes discard,
and to our ranks more hurry.
Fleeing army of forgotten,
roaming down dark streets.
Looking through the windows,
watching over those he beats.

Pinned by sin - release.
Forgotten bring the peace.
It's your last beating, your last meeting - with pain.
Come join us now - you're not alone - we entertain.

Heed no word or warning,
we are the true trailblazers.
Heavy hearts can't procrastinate
determined star bound seekers.
Just beyond confining limits,
we search for warmth in arms.
Never to let our gaurd down,
not gullible for hasty charms.

Pinned by sin - release.
Forgotten bring the peace.
It's your last beating, your last meeting - with pain.
Come join us now - you're not alone - we entertain.

Confy in us your spirit,
we hope to take away your pain.
Every beating should be your last,
you're not alone - we entertain.
Watchful eyes gaze upon you,
and our warmth you should feel.
Get your sleep after the last blow,
and escape early with us for real.

Pinned by sin - release.
Forgotten bring the peace.
It's your last beating, your last meeting - with pain.
Come join us now - you're not alone - we entertain.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
