I'd rather sit and watch the ocean
So alive in its unappreciated strength
So mesmerizing in its boundless beauty
Than stare at the clock on the wall waiting for you
I'd rather sit and gaze at the moon
So powerful in the hearts of those who know
So protecting and inspiring to me
Than listen to the clock go "tick-tock" waiting for you
But I'd wait for you forever
Coz you told me we'd be together
Just like you said you'd make me fall in love with you
And now here I am at your feet
So if you take my hand I'll take you to the stars
We'll float on a cloud and just laugh the time away
We'll make love on Venus and spend a day or two on Mars
We'll kiss the sky and go swimming in the Milky Way
I'll wait for you but I won't sit around
Thinking of nothing but you until that day comes
I have things to do and friends to spend time with
You're not the only thing that makes me happy
But you're always in the back of my mind
I never really stop thinking about you
And I know that the day we're finally together
I'm going to reach a new level of happiness
We shared something out of this world
You made me into more than a girl
I never thought I could love like this but I do
I'd love to spend my life with you
"Look at you, you always look so sad," they tell me
I guess I'm just a sad-eyed girl hopelessly in love
But you give me a happy smile that lasts the whole day
You're brooding and you're moody and it makes you damn sexy

Liked your poem.
kept me going when it started you sitting by the ocean and thinking. love the ocean myself. another part i like is the fact that you let him know that you have him on your mind but you have other things to. smart girl. good write. sandy |
