lying in bed, deep dreams of sleep crying out to the night, fearfully weep a noise at the window, a scratch at the wall never expecting such a great fall
peering over, knife scrapes the glass but o what a night, dew on the grass moon shining brightly, stars up above though deep in his soul, not one speck of love
his mind filled with hatred all to me never knew what id done, why couldnt i see? i tried hard to be a good daughter, really, i did but being beaten and bruised does a lot more to a kid
so we finally got the courage to run away never thought he knew where we were, not til this day but there at my window, my father alone and me in my bed, scared to the bone
he opens the window, and stares in my eyes he can tell that i know, therell be no surprise the knife in his fist, like an inky black boat swimming forever in the blood in my throat
walking faster and faster, hes in front of my face five inches cold steel, cuts the air with such grace thoughts are all frozen inside silent fear with my one last breath, i shed a lonely tear
this bitter blade is tracing my body of life looking down at the edge of my soul on the knife almost complete, at my chest he stops and into my heart, the knife he drops.
lying in bed, deep dreams of sleep crying out to the night, fearfully weep a noise at the window, a scratch at the wall never expecting such a great fall

DEFINITELY foul play...
Very well written poem. I like the way you keep rhyme through the whole thing.
Take care.
