so deeply disturbed and disturbing
I followed without question
not knowing his meaning
wanting to believe him
wanting to want him
such is the peril I put myself in
exposing too much
vulnerable beyond the skin
the heart gave in
to such terrible mischief
what was held in the balance
then never retrieved
thrashing in the throes
of his particular demons
I learned too late
what I had lost
in the solitude
in the quietness
that once was my soul
relinquish it now
and forever he said
taking control
of me, body and soul
