On A Day like This

Contributed by ThePunkPoet on Wednesday, 25th February 2004 @ 01:47:32 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

It is days like today that it is futile to search for inspiration. On a day like this, inspiration comes to those who do not seek it. Inspiration is merely something in the air and of the air. For ne'er have we seen it but we know it exists. My heart like the splendorous environment around me.

Heart still frozen but slightly thawed like the slush-like snow. Showing signs of a new growth in near baron wasteland. Frozen yet not, cold warm but still frozen. A day is nothing but a day but to me it has much more meaning. Morning brings a soft blue sky with the ground a mist. Inspirations swarming around me like a whirling vortex.

Enshrouded in nothing but the poetic words that flood my mind, savagely trying escape. Now as I sit here giving them safe haven, I myself find sanctuary. I can't help but wander if all life will be half as inspiring as the time compressed into this one fateful morning. It is said "life is what you make of it" yet it shaped by other people.

But on days like this as I sit embracing my poetry as I would a loved one, I find sanctuary. On a day like this...
