Violent Storms

Contributed by Twitch06 on Thursday, 26th February 2004 @ 03:01:16 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Lying here, listening to the Violent Storm.
I hear the Violent Thunder,
I see the Innocent Rain.
I hear this Violent Storm almost every night.
Sometimes it quiets down.
But sometimes it grows strong and Violent again.
I hate these Storms that I hear.
I just want them to stop.
Every time that I hear them,
I'm always afraid of what might happen.
These Violent Storms usually come late at night.
I always encounter then when I least expect it.
These particular Storms happen in all the seasons,
Whether it's summer or winter,
They still come rolling in.
Still lying here, the Storm still goes on.
The Violent Thunder, the Innocent Rain.
When it becomes morning,
I still see the Innocent Rain pouring down,
But the Thunder still rumbles in the distant, almost faint.
Or at least, till night comes again.

....So, in case you haven't understood what I wrote, it's about my parents who come home and fight (not physically, just verbal) And sometimes, they don't even know that I'm awake hearing them going on....
