When I look down through my happy and sad universe
I realize you were always there and to you my life has probably been a curse
You were there from the wonderful beginning
And my whole life good or bad you have seen
For you saw all the good times I had
When I was only a little wee lad
You saw me when I was truly glad
You also watched me when I was raving mad
You were there when I fell in love for the very first time
But you also saw when my heart was broke and my life wasn't worth a dime
You were there when I sore I would never love again
That I would live like the rest of the lonely men
But you were there when love came once more
And I gladly let love in through the door
You saw me when I wasn't so sweet
You saw me when I could only cry
You knew I was wishing I could die
You were there from my happy time to all my strife
For you saw my whole life
You saw all my pain and joy
But you were always just my lil stuffed tiger toy

Hey bud...I love this poem. Its one of my favs. I even printed it out and put it in the "box". Yodo is right...that last line...is so awesome. It just hits you. I miss reading your poems...keep up the good work pal. Its easier than you thought isn't it? :-P |
