palaces of mountain splendor
the wind blows freedom
in my ear
I fly
above the snowy treetops
glide on updrafts
surveying what is mine

crystal clear water rushes
under ice and snow
riverbed
sleeps no more
music of sun on water
awakens her smile
she sees her lover

elegant velvet antlers
proclaim this rebirth
all things
in nature's care
after a long sleep awaken
the winter withdraws
and spring comes forth
