Think I should go to sleep
before I start to cry
I should really let this go
for one more night
cause I'm in that place
where tears like to fall
I know this place too well
trying desperately not to call
your voice would only add
to the pain I try to hide
nothing on the other end
dead like her you are inside
but you're here in the flesh
might as well be gone
she's helped me from afar
more than anything you have done
maybe I should have asked
for the things I really need
but I rarely spoke the truth
instead your pain I tried to ease
it's too late now I guess
for you to hear my call
you weren't even listening
for falling tears behind it all
think I should go to sleep
before I start to cry
I'm letting this go
for one more night

i know what its like to try to sleep so you dont have to cry but ive found that its very hard
