"'Father, why have You forsaken me?'" Are the words you cried out tonight As you felt the tears roll down your cheeks While the rain was pouring, and all the thunder was crashing
You had always been a religious kid Always prayed your prayers at night Praying for peace to be with you But it was never with you... You've always been the restless type
Turmoil...so much inner turmoil There's secret pain you've never let show Secret pain...that only God knows But wouldn't ever, ever, be healed And tonight...you finally lost it
You took a stand and you yelled You cried out denying the God you once said existed You cried out denying what you once so firmly believed And now I can't help but cry for you friend, as you've gone into a religious suicide

Well, all pain and sorrow came by way of transgression. The garden of Eden had none of it, til Adam and Eve sinned. So, no one, but Christ, has a right to say, God has forsaken them - for all have sinned. Also, "trying" isn't good enough because God demands perfect obedience. That's why it took the sacrifice of the perfect Son of God to set things right for the redeamed. God Bless.
