Memory Loss

I battled with this
just last night,
I didn't know what the date was.
I thought it was
the 29th day of February,
then I looked down
at my poetry book
and noticed it had
the date of February 26th.
I had to go to
the kitchen to
look at the calender
and realised it was
omly February 27th.
It's one of the
side effects from
my medicine.
I hate feeling this way.
