wish I was the one to help you see,
how wonderful life can be,
Wish my tears could help erase the past.
A bridge I cannot cross, a gap too vast.
Wish I could make them pay those
Lost in lust, blind to their cruelty.
The soul takers, those without mercy.
Memories that hurt, burn like fire
Wish I could take your pain.
Your place upon their pyre.
Who am I to be your savior?
Wish you could see that saving you,
Just may be what I need to save me.

| Nice work... it's too short though I wanted to read more... You have a nice way of taking the reader on a journey through your thoughts. The last line is incredible....You need more story line to this masterful poetry and believe me everyone will be wishing to read it. Good poem!! |
