Your Embrace

Contributed by Lone_er on Monday, 1st March 2004 @ 11:32:51 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your Embrace
Tonight I feel the silence
The coldness trying to creep into my soul
The hopelessness trying to infiltrate my heart
Allow my fears to take control
But it shall not be
My heart will never surrender
It is stayed upon your love
So real and oh so tender
Just because youre gone
Time has forced us apart
Does not mean your love
Will not be treasured by my heart
Just because this longing
Threatens to overwhelm and take control
Does not mean the memories of your caresses
Do not ignite the passions of my soul
Yes tonight your love still works its miracle
Still takes me to that place
Where loneliness and sadness cannot be
In your loves sweet embrace
Russ
You pulled at my heartstrings with this one. I've thought along the same lines for a long time, especially at night. Of course I could not make them this majestic, for your poem is perfection. I think time is the key, you just have to wait for time to wash it all away. Its the waiting thats tough sometimes. Hang in there with the rest of us. Kie
