TOUCHING A HEART

"TOUCHING A HEART"

Why, you ask, do I write poetry each day?
I dearly love people you see, love's entree
If just one heart I've touched with love,
Then I've lived the best life offered from above

Handing my hand to another to help ascend.
Rectifying an injustice heaped unjustly to defend!
Unfortunate souls, my protection I extend.
Touching just one heart with love,
'tis happiness penned!

To love each other, all placed together,
as brother and sister?
Complete anarchy, devastating existence,
forgotten love's demur.
Mankind is riddled with sadness,
hopelessness, minus love..........
Privileged to touch a heart, my life's
sweet music from above.

Helping to change an outlook,
attitude toward ease.
To relieve the pain of a tortured soul's
unremitting disease.
Peace of mind, help me give hope,
Dear God Please.
Writing poetry to touch a heart,
inspire a day's mercies!

What little bit I am able to do,
such a small amount.
Can just one person's pen, make a
difference, count?
The way to change the world starts with
one person set apart.
I offer my hands, head, and pen.....
love's touch to impart.

experienced a great loss to walk
alone is the greatest act

Connie, my dear friend, you are such an expert at loving others. You make everyone feel loved and important. I think that is why God created you. You have done him proud, my dear. You are a great great person and the greatest friend.

Love,
Rita

I have this habit of printing out poems that can remind me to be optimistic. Needless to say my fridge has run out of magnets to hold all your poems! I go to get something to eat and I stand there reading and forget to eat! Love your poems ConSue as well as your outlook on life. Kie
