Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ

Contributed by Elizabeth_Dandy on Wednesday, 3rd March 2004 @ 01:06:45 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Your work stands indestructible and tall
For all the pilgrims of this earth to view,
Of faith and love a testimonial
To our Lord - Mel Gibson, Hail to you!

Your film will shine as an enduring star
That breaks asunder clouds and darkest night,
Arrayed against you pitchy forces are,
Opposing you,- for darkness shuns the light.

Your story Mel is awesome and so sad,
And yet one of tremendous victory,
You wore a crown of thorns too on your head,
And wore it with great love courageously.

Subject you are, - prey to malignant rant
Of pundits, media, and the high elite,
May God in mercy His forgiveness grant
To oligarchy and those dull of wit!

And all those pundits that malign you most
Are to be pitied really very much,
Have been abandoned by the Holy Ghost
And are beyond His light beams and His touch.

But we, the many, are profoundly moved,
And view your work with awe and gratitude
And realize how deeply Jesus loved
To suffer so and die upon the rood..

How blessed Mel was that he had the opportunity to do this for God.
