i pity you, at last
my estranged man
but do confess
that each morning
i awaken with a prayer
upon my lips that God
looks mercifully upon you
and gives you happiness
health and much success
in the midst of all
the hell i find myself
entombed in being
at your side i still
wish for you every
good thing i would
want for myself
