Really, Who Do You Think I Am???

Really, Who Do You Think I Am???

You say I'm funny,
That you come to me, whenever you need a laugh.
I hear that I have a caring heart,
That I'm always first in line,
When someone needs help.

They say that I am witty,
That I'm known for being quick on my comebacks.

But really,
Who do you think I am?

Am I really the one you always come to,
When you're in need of a good laugh?
Do I have a caring heart?
A heart that yearns to help others when their in need?
I may have a few comebacks,
But I'm not this.

I am not this,
Because I'm nothing without you,
You are the reason I am funny,
The very essensense of my heart.
And I love that about you...

I absolutely love this one!!! The ending is just smashing!!! Wow...... *speechless silence*
You really can get into other people's thoughts. Have you ever acted before? Like onstage or anything? It's basically the same...... I'm into it myself. Seems like you'd be really good at finding the thoughts of a character to portray.
But back to the poem. The best thing about this is that the person credits all their good traits to the one they love. Which is a neat way to look at it really. Without those we love, who are we?

Thank you for sharing =)
God bless,
Ellen

Not bad. At first I thought you were a pompous, self-absorbed egotist; then you showed great affection for someone else.
Very intellectual. Congrats.
