Others had found me that night prior to thee And I took part as I was rightful to do so Vapid actions shortcomings left to see As still I searched for the presence of you
All lacked the same passion the difference I cared little, unaware of the chance We would entertain our joint entrance Our ever meet before the last dance
I planned nothing and expected the same Nor can I say what was our mutual draw I’m still left wondering how this became Why, for years, such beauty I never saw
A man wonders of a joint life to live Their time once apart how will he forgive
