Weeds from war

Contributed by uchendu on Friday, 5th March 2004 @ 07:00:12 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I thrill at you fragments of God
your fate is an ill-wonder I shudder
your walls may all be crashing
but I drown at this life you're living

Your walls I fear is still crashing
into your fresh withering lives
all these in my emotion play havoc
and make my tearful heart go amok

REFRAIN
but you aren't gonna die
you are meant to be
from the gardens of babyhood
you became the weeds from war

BACKGROUND
When I conjur from our pasts
I know and feel your fate
.................................................................
you suffer from our rashness
you suffer from our mistakes
..................................................................
there's always calm after the storm
sunlight will come in ya lives
you will grow like seeds, not weeds
and have the feel of true peace
..................................................................

REFRAIN
but you aren't gonna die
you are meant to be
from the gardens of babyhood
you became the weeds from war

I just wana show ya tenderness
not the bombshells from our wars
and the yells of death from our swords
wana make you hear jewelled words

Please forgive our wombs
and know you aren't lost lambs
you are ill-treated little lambs
that must in future light our lamps

Wow, friend this is awesome even tho sad.
this is a part of war that never gets told. You've done a remakable job making others aware that not only death comes from war but broken hearted women are just as much victoms also their children.
Living in the USA, I've never witnessed a war but certainly don't want ot either.
Even after 911, I thank God that I still have my freedom even tho many have suffered-n-died from it.
I try never to take it for granted! I'm also very gratefull to our soilders that sacrifice their family lives and even die so me just a mere mortal can be saved from these things u live with.
Very good work!
luv, huggs,
emy
