I once sat beneath the stars
I was away from all the cars
away from all of the things
That I have once known
if I tried i couldve flown
and i was all alone
Watching the stars shine
I almost felt fine
But then i thought of you
and how we were of two
not one anymore
and i knew what was in store
I picked up the gun
the one we had jest in fun
to kill one
or the other
if we'd fought
or been caught
not loving one another
I put it to my head
and I knew I'd be dead
Next I pulled the trigger
and now you can figure
what happened next
It's all for the best
Because now I can rest
Away from all of the things
That I've once known

| this poem reflects many of my friends' lives and once did mine. i lost a friend to suicide and have 4 more who are seeking help for it now. one of them is over a girl that he's madly in love with. i used to be like that, i lost a guy that i thought was my whole world and luckily my friends knew how i felt and helped me or i wouldnt be here today. im doing everything i can to help my friends now. i know what you're saying in that poem and i love it cuz i can relate, i think many ppl can. more ppl need to put it into words like u did and hopefully they can get help becuz that's not the way to go. |
