Soul Mates
Somewhere in the heavens
Far beyond the touch of night
God formed two loving souls
And bathed them in His light
He sent them on a journey
Away from heavens shore
But bonded them as one
Soul mates forevermore
Now they journey separately in this life
Doing the things God inspires them to do
With the knowledge deep inside
Their soul mate is true
Sometimes for only a moment
Or a few months in our life
When God sees our hearts are lonely
Weighed heavily with strife
He grants us the miracle
Indeed the blessing to see
The very same soul mate
Created for you and me
Then those hearts are recharged
Gods wisdom they employ
Rediscovering that love
Is Gods ultimate joy
When the time comes
God sends them on their way
To complete the missions
Of their lives every day
Though they may be sad
Perhaps lonely too
They know somewhere close
A soul mates love is true
Just listen to your heart
The song that calms its fears
And take comfort in knowing
A soul mate always hears

| beautifully written from the heart poem russ, i wonder though, do we have more than one soulmate, or a group of souls who travel together throughout the ages? i love how you said, your soulmate always hears and to listen to your heart, i believe that is so true, lovely poem my friend, warmed my soul too:) hugs n' love nessa |

Wow, my dear sweet friend, I'm happy to have inspired this awesome write. You've written this like a pro as deep in my heart I know he always hears me. We've always been able to comunicate thru the soul.
My one concern is he had heart problems and wouldn't have surjury. So even if he's with God he does always hear me.
This is a luvly kick off poem from mine as it says it all. You've done a great job here!
