I Live In Zombie Land!

this world is doing in my head, i feel like a zombie, cursed with the dead!
paranoid, by the slightest of things, sucked dry, only alive, in my dreams!
sore all over, but itching, from my sctraches, i hate these marks these, red, ugly patches.
i feel numb, but pain still comes through, it makes me feel angry, but at the same time used!
i hate life, but i don't want to die this way, i have things holding me tight, like brick walls and chains.
and i guess i should be grateful, i have a roof over my head, but this never stops, the haunting dread!

We all live there with oyu, you are not alone. A true sense of dread is reaveled in this poem. I see the theme of isolation creeping. To view your roof as the one thing you have. The walls becoming one's identity is what is happening. The condition that makes the world a zombie land can be seen making the subject persona a zombie too. Isolation is the cause of suffering with a world suffering from the same thing. |
