the lovers suffocate
him clutching her inside
her holding her outside

the sky breaks
the clouds leer
and people change before
your eyes can see

they cry alone
one inside the pain of sound
the other in the choice of words

driving
but theres something
left behind cold
alone with friends

she feels the friction
tearing him apart
he hides the truth
