It will come to pass that I
soon will will hear from you
'Goodbye'
for your soul will cease to lie
about your secret friend.
And I will look as heartaches do...
outside life's green toward all blue
and anchor there in strands of you,
sunk deeply by love's end.
And there entwined in navy thread
my heart and I will make a bed
and sleep
a sleep
as deep as dead,
until at last ...we'll mend.
