Always Love You

Contributed by Bubbi-Gal on Thursday, 11th March 2004 @ 01:45:20 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Always Love You.

You left my side a while ago,
But I just cant let go,
All the love and care,
The things we shared,
I just want to know.
I didnt mean to forget,
It just kind of happened,
I couldnt handle the pain,
I couldnt handle what happened.
I know your still there,
Still watching over me
But you arent here by my side,
Which is where I need you to be.
I hate that I forgot everything we did,
I hate that I was just a little kid,
I want to remember mum, I really do,
And I want you to remember that I still love you.
Where ever you are, here or there,
Know I still love you and that I still care,
Your smiling face,
Is still in my mind.
Its the most precious thing,
And will be,
For all time.

awww...that was so sweet, yet sad. I had a baby that died when he was eight days old...my very first thought was that I was glad it wasn't the son who was older because we were more attached...I've always felt guilty. That and I barely remember what he looked like. Neighbors took all of his things while I was making arrangements to have him buried...they thought they were doing a kindness...so I don't even have a photo...Point being I know what it is to feel that you're losing a memory ...but love always stays in your heart.

a very touching poem. I can totally relate to how you feel. Keep writing with that great passion and you will go far.
