Tread softly, gently Walking on glass Shards glistening under my feet Step lightly, dont break the skin I might bleed on you Stain you with uncertainty Flowing crimson and warm From my veins to your skin
Tread softly, gently So sharp and jagged The edges digging in Forcing through the tension of flesh With the finish out of sight Out of reach
Tread softly, gently Eyes welling with tears Squeeze them shut, hold it in Bottle the tears, crystal fears That are crushing under my feet Protect you from my pain Shield you with my wavering strength

Man I am so frustrated. These are all excellent poems, yet I don't understand them. Maybe I'm trying to look too deep. Maybe it's just over my head. But nonetheless this is a great poem. Very well written and easy to read and try to understand. Thank you for posting. I love it. |
