¨People¨

Contributed by Syk0hsGirl on Sunday, 15th September 2002 @ 06:46:06 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Enter a room, people don't even speak
Never saying a word, you could stay there a week
Nobody knows each others pain and suffering
They just go on, your whole world crumbling
People used to care for one another
Now when I look, they hardly even bother
They keep their friends, good times or bad
Wrong or right, to me this is very sad
Poems, heartaches, things of the heart and mind
These people you see, they don't know they are blind
If they ask are you ok, you look at them and say
Yes i'm fine, I'm ok, and then they go on there way
People never take the time to really look inside
In their typing, in the way they speak, where it all abides
When you speak people say shut up or click
Not knowing what it does to a person who's sick
I've learned if your silent, and never say a word
They'll see nothing here, you won't have to be heard
You can watch the pm's and the room down below
And never say a word, Eventually they'll go
Friends is a word, meaning nothing to me anymore
That word is why my heart got torn
People say it's just chat, go ahead and die
Words on a screen, i watch, i hide
Till the end of my time i will wonder why people are so cold
Never giving a chance, just acting so bold
Past things keep them bound, change their attitude
Never being honest, Never being true

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
