Don't Play Coy..I'm No Toy

Contributed by norm on Friday, 12th March 2004 @ 10:12:56 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Please don't tell me how you fare, just let every man beware,
You're an independent lady who is filled with savoir faire,
There is no man that you heed, who you'll follow if they lead,
You're a rootin' tootin' cat-breed... with yourself none else to feed.

Let me holler, let me moue, I'll not wait on any queue,
I'm an independent fella, independent just like you.
For no woman will I wait, step right up with bat to plate,
If you don't I'll really hate, I asked you out but you were late.

It's a puzzle, cutie pie, How can either do or die?
If you were a bit compliant, we could gidge and that's no lie.
As it is I'm sure afraid, if in heaven we were made,
I would give to you a jade, but you see our love must fade.

This one is so touching, Norm. You have to tell me what "gidge" is though. Not familiar with that term.

This poem I think is neat
And also the author is sweet
When two strong parties meet
Getting along is some feat
