Was it Worth It?

Contributed by Dereku on Friday, 12th March 2004 @ 09:56:07 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

So as the tears fall like rain, was it worth it?
So as I contemplate taking this knife into my body, was it worth it?
As my pain eats me from the inside, was it worth it?
As my hatred makes me cut the skin from my body, was it worth it?
As my anger causes me to burn, was it worth it?
As my body grows numb with the sorrow, was it worth it?
I can no longer feel the knife in me...why?
As the tears cause me to see the darkness, and my hatred causes me to bleed, was it worth it?

Why does it hurt so much? Why couldn't she just tell me she felt the same way?

The anger and pain in your poem just jumped out at me and pulled me in, you are obviously hurting a lot. Hope you're doing better after letting out your feelings in this great piece.
