Love Is What I Sense

Contributed by emmie74 on Sunday, 15th September 2002 @ 02:10:09 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Hurt and broken
I have left you
Lost and sorry, as I am
Can one live and love
As though smashed, they have never been?

Words are nothing
And actions can't explain
Sorry am I
For the damage I have caused
Forgiveness may I ask?

This brief poem I am speaking
Yet I make no noise
My throat is sore and swollen
I have been leaking from my eyes
Will you take me back?

The feelings I have for you
I've never experienced before
Love is what I sense
Can you see it in my eyes?
For I cannot see it in yours...

You don't have to live as though you haven't been hurt. Everyone gets hurt, and it's part of who you are. Don't pretend it didn't happen. Lucky you, he loves you. Didn't I tell you?

Hello Emmie, I feel the same way... I'm still living with my girlfriend, well, friend now... But She was my first true girlfriend... I wrote like maybe 7 or 8 poems about her! She is a poet also... So, I pretty much know where you'r coming from!!! I hope that you find that someone special... :)
